Winter Wellness

Winter is a time for deep nourishment and reflection.  It is a season of restoration, repair, rebuilding, replenishing reserves, renewing resources.  In short, it is the time to Restore the Roots of health.  

As we enter this new decade, we are challenged to re-evaluate our foundations, to eliminate old habits, patterns, and beliefs that are limiting our growth and negatively impacting our health.  It is crucial we ask ourselves where we will be in 5-10 years if we continue on our current path.  

2020 is a year for building, for establishing solid framework, for growth that is rooted in the stability of deep connections:  this is the year to create a base upon which we can build long lasting health in all areas of our lives.  

With that in mind, we are excited to offer this Community Winter Wellness Program where we will work together to learn, to heal, and to rebuild the foundations of health over the course of 9 weeks.  

Our focus for this season is on Restoring the Root, which corresponds to balancing our Adrenal and Stress Response which forms a fundamental part of the foundation of our health and affects nearly every major body system.  

With that objective in mind, and in heart, we'll be covering the following fundamentals:  

  • Adrenal Healthy nutrition
  • Restorative exercise
  • Stress Management
  • Sleep, Rest and Relaxation
  • Hormone balancing
  • Healing the Gut
  • Elimination of Toxins
  • Herbs and supplements for Adrenal and stress support
  • Mental/Emotional wellbeing
  • Inner Beauty rituals
  • Community Care

The program runs 9 weeks and offers two options:

1) Hybrid Live/Online or

2) Online Only 

Classes will be recorded and available for viewing online 48 hours after they take place live.  Both options include a pre-recorded 4 week Adrenal Restore online program that parallels the live meetings and classes, and provides weekly videos which create the framework for the core elements of the program: nutrition, exercise, stress management, and rest.  

We have been successfully running this program online for the last several years, and are excited to offer a hybrid live/online version in our new healing space in Ojai.    This provides additional value to our online only participants as well, as you will have access to weekly group meetings with Q&A, and yoga/meditation classes which will be available to view at your convenience.  Our goal is to make this available to as many people as possible in our community, and with that in mind we have deeply discounted the enrollment rates, so please consider joining us!

Restore your Natural Rhytms

Winter Wellness is part 1 of a 4 season program designed to bring us back into balance with the rhythms of nature. 

Rites are traditions, customs, habits, rituals, and practices that mark the passage of time and help us to maintain right relationship with ourselves, our environment, and our community.  

Each season we are invited to synchronize our efforts and our lifestyle with the movement of nature in order to create health and a sense of wellbeing.  

Wellbeing is a state of wellness that includes health in our physical, emotional and spiritual lives, and also a dynamic connection to our deepest values in our everyday activities.

Our mission with this annual cycle of seasonal programs is to lay the groundwork for true Community Care.  Research has shown that the progress made through healing in a group environment far exceeds what is possible on our own.

2 Group Acupuncture Essential oil nights: Feb 8 and March 14th at 7pm

2 Nature Ritual Plant walks:  Feb 2 and March 7 at 4pm
